After reading Andrew Braakan’s essay “some lessons from the assembly line,” I  feel that  that the insight he gain was that he realized his appreciation for education more He began seeing this and realizing that he was working so hard for low pay. And as an affect he began seeing that he wanted to go to school. And just like Braakans I too realize this. In response to the question ask I know how Andrew feels because I too not only have one but two jobs and the reason why I work two jobs is so I can just make ends meat. This is one of the many reasons I attend school. I can complete understand how the stress of loosing my job could cause me to appreactie my education more. Theirs this old saying my father told me when I was younger “ the more you know the more valuable I am “ and its on this quote that I have placed my whole schooling pushing my self so hard so that way I can be as valuable to society as possible. With my education will come the job security I am working so hard to obtain?

After reading the article Cell Phones and Social Graces by Charles Fisher. I feel that he is trying to lets us know as people.  We have become so dependent on our cell phones that we have become rude with the way we use them and how they have become more important then spending time with our own children. An fish provides the perfect example of this when he states that a woman was at Disneyland and couldn’t wait the two minutes before the ride was over to answer her phone. Like fish I do agree with some of his points. Their have been times that I have been at the movies our even walking in a store and I have heard people talking on their phones. And talking so loud that everyone cans here their life story. But being as I have a cell phone I don’t know if I have become a slave to have mine because once upon a time I didn’t have one.

After reading Harold Kents “darkness at noon” I feel that his purpose is saying. Look people just because I am blind don’t mean that i am unable to do. Because he was able to accomplish a lot. So even throw he was stereo typed by his condition he went on to get a degree form Harvard law school which I found to be amazing. But just like Harold not me but rather my family to prove to every one that doubt I would make it to where i am now. Well my story begins when I had my very first breath my mom screaming an yelling my baby my baby  I want my baby! As the doctors rushed me way. My dad beside my mom holding her as the doctors told them I would not be able to walk our used my hands. I can see the pain in her eyes as she told me this story. About a month went by my mom told before she was able to see me being as she was very sick at the time she was having me. It was during that month that my family told the doctor an every one taking care of me that I will walk an I will use my hands. So I feel that it’s through their faith and the prayers and the lord. That I have been able to walk and use my hands. With no problems.

I feel that the purpose of Lisa Wilson stick’s purpose in writing what’s so bad about being so so. Is a way of letting us the readers known that it’s ok to not be the best at something? So you don’t have to put so munch effort an compativeness into what your doing that you forget the meaning which is win our loose just go out an have fun. Like Lisa I to have had this problem. My story begins when I was about 9 years old I was in the fourth grade when I started playing football with some of the other kids. The kids that I played with where a lot bigger then me so I would always loose an I got tired of it. I went home one day I was really up set so my grandmother was over and she asked me what’s wrong son. An I explained to her my situation and that’s when she told me baby you got fight an never give up but always rember to have fun when doing so. So after that moment I began to practice I did this for a week. the  following week I played an I played hard because I felt like I had something to prove and I did . I felt that I had to win  no matter what and because I got so competive  I began to here my self taughting the other kids an telling them they where weak an they sucked after the game was over an even through I won the game I felt horrible because. I over heard the others talking an saying I don’t want play with him any more because he took the fun right out the game. An it was at this moment I realized the meaning of what my grandmother had told me which its ok to be compative but don’t be so munch where you lose the love an fun of the game.

After reading stuff is not salvation. I feel that her purpose is to say hey look people why are we putting so munch effort and money into material things that later on we will not even have our remember. I feel she is trying to let us know that we don’t have to relay on material things to have salvation. Now to begin their where plenty of times where I had wanted something so bad that I would do almost anything to get. Even if I didn’t have the means of buying it. This story isn’t going to be about me it’s going to be about my mother Angela baudoin. Well I guess you can say my mother is kind of a shopaholic she will go to the store at least 6 days out the week where she will spend money on needless things that she don’t even needs an I always tell her mom you should save your money for more important things like your house payment an does she listen? Half the time no but there was one. Specific time that I can remember my mom just. Explaing how stressed she was bout how she was going to pay here bills this week. And after that she was the store buying some paint to paint her house .When I ask her why she brought these things she told me because she wanted them. It was during this time that after. I help my mom pay some bills that I realized don’t put your faith in material things because above all family will be their long after those material things are long gone.
